Professor Bruce Cain (Dpt. of Political Science, Stanford University) will analyze the results of the November 3d Elections and situate them in the context of past midterm elections in distinguishing between “full wave elections” and “semi-wave elections”. He will also reflect on the political consequences for the next two years.
His presentation will be followed by a round table with the participation of François Bafoil (CERI-Sciences Po/CNRS), the author of "Trump: MAGA, la Horde, chronique de la haine", (Dunod, 2026) and Ran Halévi (Centre de Recherches Politiques Raymond Aron), the author of "Le Chaos de la démocratie américaine" (Folio actuel, 2025)
