CFP Suffering in anglophone literature

Dear all,

Here below a message from a Croatian colleague, Martina Domines Veliki (University of Zagreb) – mdomines
who is looking for contributors for a volume she is co-editing.

This email concerns an essay collection I will be co-editing together with a Norwegian colleague, Charles Ivan Armstrong of the University of Agder. We organized a two-day panel at the European Society for the Study of English (ESSE) conference in Mainz, in August/September of this year. We have since contacted Lexington books and hope to publish a volume in their « Reading Trauma and Memory Series ». The provisional title for the book is « Suffering in Anglophone Literatures ». We hope to have a book proposal ready by early January, and the first deadline for submitting full drafts of the chapters will be in July 2023.
Enclosed you will find the cfp for the ESSE panel, which should hopefully give a good sense of what we are looking for.The deadline for book chapter proposals would be 12 December 2022 (500 words + a short bio).

Feel free to contact her to learn more about it.

Kind regards,

Nicoleta
