D\u00e9sormais, la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9tudes modernistes soutient financi\u00e8rement, \u00e0 hauteur de 500 euros maximum, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 deux journ\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9tudes par an, organis\u00e9es par des doctorants rattach\u00e9s \u00e0 une institution fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n

Le sujet choisi doit \u00eatre clairement en lien avec l\u2019\u00e9tude du modernisme anglophone, et l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement doit \u00eatre approuv\u00e9 par le laboratoire du candidat.<\/p>\n

La bourse de la SEM est corr\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019obtention d\u2019au moins une autre source de financement. Il est possible de candidater avant d\u2019avoir confirmation d\u2019un autre financement mais la bourse de la SEM ne sera vers\u00e9e qu\u2019une fois cette confirmation obtenue.<\/p>\n

Prochaine date limite de candidature : le 15 janvier 2023<\/strong>, pour des journ\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9tudes devant avoir lieu en 2023.<\/p>\n

Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n

The Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9tudes modernistes now supports up to two modernist studies workshops yearly, organized by PhD students affiliated to a French higher education institution, with grants of up to 500 euros.<\/p>\n

The chosen topic must be clearly related to the study of literary modernism in the English-speaking world, and the event must be organized with the formal agreement of the applicant\u2019s institution.<\/p>\n

Financial support from at least one other source is compulsory; the application may proceed while external support is not yet confirmed but the actual payment of the SEM grant will be made only when another funding source is confirmed.<\/p>\n

Next application deadline: Jan. 15, 2023 (for workshops taking place in 2023).
