Les membres de l’axe Histoire du Politique du LARCA vous convient à la prochaine séance du séminaire de l’axe, lors de laquelle nous recevrons l’historien James Sparrow (University of Chicago) pour une présentation (en anglais) intitulée "From Racial Realist to Geopolitical Realist: Ralph Bunche, Democratic Thought, and the Global Challenge of Fascism (1930s-1940s)".
James Sparrow présentera un chapitre issu de son prochain ouvrage, New Leviathan: The Problem of the Democratic State in the American Century. The chapter is on Ralph Bunche’s transformation from racial realist to geopolitical realist in the 1930s and 1940s, as he adapted his thinking about democracy to the global challenge of fascism.
La séance sera discutée par Jason Quidoz, doctorant au LARCA.
