Le séminaire de l’équipe CIMMA (Constructions Identitaires et Mobilisations dans le Monde Anglophone) du laboratoire IMAGER de Paris-Est Créteil accueille vendredi 8 mars de 14h à 16h Amy Wells, pour une séance intitulée "Craftivsim, what’s the point? Piecing together women’s rights". Voici un résumé : "Although craftivism in the United States has existed since the American Revolution, it has gained in visibilty and popularity these last years, in large part due to social media and the challenging political landscape. In this presentation, we will be working through what is the "point," or objective, of craftivism projects in the US, discussing how, or even if, we should try to measure their impacts." Amy Wells est maitresse de conférences à l’Université Caen-Normandie, membre du laboratoire ERIBIA, spécialiste des féminismes états-uniens et de leurs expressions artistiques et littéraires. Elle travaille actuellement sur le craftivisme, c’est-à-dire l’emploi l’emploi comme forme d’activisme de pratiques artisanales socialement codées comme féminines (tricot, crochet, broderie).
