In conjunction with this event, the organizing committee will be hosting a 20th Century Southern Women Writers Conference to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of “The Time of Man” in conversation with all of the other fabulous Southern Women Writers of the 20th Century.
Papers focusing on American women writers who either identified as Southern or wrote prose and/or poetry rooted in southern culture are welcome. Such authors include: Flannery O’Connor, Carson McCullers, Alice Walker, Eudora Welty, Zora Neale Hurston…etc.
