CFP : "American Literature Association Conference"

2016 ALA Conference Call for Papers

The Percival Everett International Society (PEIS) invites abstracts of no more than 300 words from those wishing to make a presentation on Everett’s work at the annual conference of the American Literature Association in May 2016 (americanliteratureassociation.org/calls/annual-conference) . Pre-arranged panels will not be considered. Primary consideration will be given to papers dealing with one or more of the following topics, without excluding any other approach to Everett’s work :

Everett’s uses of parody,
Everett’s use of myths and mythologies,
tradition and subversion,
revisiting the canon,
the body in Everett’s work,
animals in Everett’s work ,
the grotesque,
languages in Everett’s work, and
Everett’s poetry

Proposals should be submitted by email, no later than January 15, 2016, to Professor Anne-Laure Tissut, Department of English, Rouen University, France, at anne-laure.tissut@univ-rouen.fr. Two panels will be sponsored by the PEIS at the ALA conference.

Membership in the Society is welcome from anyone wishing to exchange information and ideas related to Everett scholarship (see percivaleverettsociety.com), and membership will be required of those whose papers are selected for presentation at ALA.
